| David Burk |
David Burk is the president of Total Surrender Evangelistic Association Inc. established in Willow, Alaska in 1987. Having served on church staff since 1981, David has had the opportunity to be involved in many different areas of ministry. David served as a minister to youth for six years in Texas and Oklahoma, served three years as mission pastor of the First Baptist Church of Willow Alaska, with the formerly Home Mission Board of the SBC, and has been in full-time evangelistic ministry since 1990. Since 1990, David has spoken in over 750 different venues, in 20 U.S. States, and 35 countries around the world. Included are Camps, School Assemblies, Commencement Exercises, University Chapels, Bible Conferences, Evangelism Conferences, Revival meetings, and Evangelistic Crusades. In 1998 T.S.E.A.Inc. partnered with the Associacion De Iglesias Bautistas del Estado Falcon in Coro, Venezuela to provide teams for evangelistic events several times a year. In 1999 T.S.E.A.Inc began partnering with an association in South Africa. The year 2001 T.S.E.A. Inc began partnering with T.S.E.A. South Africa, staffed by Jan and Erica Viljoen, a 30’X75’ tent used for new church starts in the Black communities of the Northern Province, and in 2006 the beginning of an indigenous Pastor training college. Working in cooperation with Southern Baptist Missionaries on the field, T.S.E.A.Inc. has taken over 600 volunteer missionaries to over 31 different areas, and helped facilitate the starting of five churches. In the fall of 2001, in cooperation with other Texas evangelist, T.S.E.A.Inc. facilitated the first, Baptist church building in Bela Bela, South Africa, a township of over 180,000 people. In 2004 T.S.E.A. India was begun and a new church was built in a poverty stricken area as well as the beginning of a relationship in Lemoru Kenya. In 2005 T.S.E.A.Inc facilitated the finishing of the housing for the Orphans, completion of school class rooms, and completion of an African Inland Church Building in Lemoru Kenya. In 2007 we partnered with the Lolkinyea AIC establishing their first worship facility. 2006 and 2007 allowed TSEA Inc to partnership with contacts in the Islamic republic of Pakistan to share the love of Christ with Islamic people, speak in schools and encourage the Christian community of Lahore Pakistan. T.S.E.A.Inc. prepares for continual and future support of existing ministries around the world. David is a Christian Ministry/Business Management major at Dallas Baptist University.
David travels full time with the support of his wife and three children. Since 2005 the Burk family have been active members of the Fielder Road Baptist Church in Arlington, TX. When ask about the ministry God has allowed David and his family, he responds by saying; “I can not believe God allows me this great privilege. I get the opportunity to be with my family and travel literally around the world telling people about the saving power and love of Jesus Christ. It is a gift of His grace and all I have had to do is receive it. Jesus is the best!”
