FROZEN IN TEXAS
Well, while it has been nice to have our children home and limits on our driving, I am ready to get out of the house. I don’t remember when we have had this length of time below freezing here in Texas. I am excited to be heading for Chile on the 13th then back in time to go to San Diego for my last residency with the Blanchard Team.
Please continue to lift Rody Chesser and myself up as the Pakistan visit is drawing near. This is the time when I have the chance to address our friends, check on the on-going work in the country, and see God work in amazing ways. We still have needs for our brothers in Pakistan so keep that trip on the top of your list.
In other news, NO ONE IS HAVING REVIVALS ANYMORE! Yep, in a time when the church is declining, the secular part of our culture is rising, and churches are shutting the door, the instruction in the word about the need for and mission of the Evangelist is being ignored, re-defined, and through pseudo-intellectual perverted academia, marginalized. Oh well, when the talking heads and over educated finish their flesh driven agenda, the church will start looking for someone gifted to help them in a mission and evangelism strategy. I’ll be here! Ha Ha! Hey, if you happen to be a leader in a local church, chew on this. ” A church can not meet its mandate to win, disciple, and assimilate, without an intentional mission and evangelism strategy.” David A Burk. When you get that, God has gifted the church with individuals to help you with that. Sustainable growth can only be achieved through long term intentional strategies. Not hit and miss events.
That was free and you don’t even have to give a love offering! Ha Ha!
OK, for all of my other friends who are saying “Huh?” Life is great, family is amazing, I am scheduled to do more over seas this year than ever before, and I love living here! Hey, keep it on your mind! Life is short, all will die, and some will even live first! Be the one! Love you all.
David
